The Environmental photo of the year awards have taken place recently organized by the London based Chartered institution of water and Environmental management in conjunction with The National Geographic. This year there were over 10,000 photos submitted double the amount of last year from 105 different countries. The overall winning photo this year "Homeless" by Hong Kong photographer Chan Kwok Hung is one of those photos that really cements the old saying that "A picture speaks a thousand words" The two boys live with there Grandmother on a scrapyard in Kathmandu Nepal.. A truly heart wrenching, thought provoking photograph.
